Coverage

Cinch covers quite an extensive list of household appliances and systems, as well as offering coverage for unknown pre-existing conditions. Coverage is included for damage done by rust and corrosion, which is excluded from many home warranty plans. You can choose from 3 plans (described below) that cover either appliances, built-in systems, or the more comprehensive complete home plan.

The plans do limit coverage to up to 2 units per appliance (anything on the appliance plan), while systems such as air-conditioning, heating, and water heater systems are also limited to up to 2 units.

The appliance cap is $2,000. There is also a systems cap, but it depends on the age of the system. The max payout for any contract term is $10,000. The heating/air conditioning system cap is $1,500. Freestanding freezers, multi-media centers built into appliances, and wine chillers and consumables are not covered.

In addition to covering all of the usual systems and major appliances within the coverage plans, Cinch's sample contract lists optional coverage add-ons such as a swimming pool and/or spa combination, septic system, well pump, and a premier upgrade package.

Pricing and Onboarding Deals

Cinch Home Services offers warranty plans for real estate professionals that include plans for both buyers and sellers. Plans come with 2 different deductible options: $100 or $200. Plans include coverage for unlimited HVAC units, appliance coverage with no dollar limits, emergency lodging reimbursement, and multi-year discount pricing.

Cinch's home warranty plans have service call fees that range from $100 -$150, the price varies by state and type of coverage. Monthly payment options are available. You also receive a month's free coverage with the purchase of the plans Cinch offers. This excludes optional-coverage and add-ons and only applies in some states. As the pricing varies by state and deductible chosen, a range is presented here:

Contractors and Service

Cinch has a wide network of contractors nationwide who are meticulously screened and selected through a process that includes, but isn't limited to, license checks and verification of active liability insurance. These technicians are also monitored and scored based on customer feedback.

Customers can submit claims 24/7/365, including religious and public holidays. Claims can be submitted by a phone call to customer service at 844-324-5688, by logging in to your profile on the company website, or by asking Amazon's Alexa to open a claim for you. Once you have presented a claim, a representative should get back to you within 24 hours.

There is no claims service fee, but you might have to pay more than one trade service call fee for every broken item repaired in one visit.
